You wouldn’t have known it if you’d been been watching us across the crowded restaurant and somehow heard us talking above the loud buzz of conversation in the air and waiters moving to keep pace with the influx of crowds ordering and needing tables.
You would have never guest that we’d met only three months previously at a terminal bus stop in Cappadocia, Turkey. Perfect strangers who started a conversation in a foreign country while waiting on the bus. In less than five minutes we’d discovered that we worked for the same company, lived in the same state, and the same city, and five blocks apart. Yet we never met, until that moment. We became fast friends and once we were back in the states we’d meet for brunch and bottomless Mimosas to catch up on life and friendship.
I’ve been wanting to start a series on the blog that focuses on friendship! The good, the bad, and the inbetween. I’m calling the series, Brunch + Bottomless Mimosas, cause we all know good talk happens over Brunch + Bottomless Mimosas. I’ll features stories of friendship, Q&As, great books on friendship, and tough topics and hot topics between friends.
Friendship is a big part of our lives, and have a huge impact in how we experience life! Your response to this post on friendship let me know that I was not alone in navigating the blessings and disappointments of friendship! I hope you’ll enjoy the series and we’ll find community in our collective stories! So cheers to Brunch + Bottomless Mimosas! [Full disclosure I usually order belini’s at brunch, but that just doesn’t have the same ring now does it! 😜]
