Introducing UH MOOD Ring Link Up

Did you have a mood ring growing up or see the movie My Girl ever? UGH!!! It was so traumatizing to see Macaulay Culkin’s character die in that movie!!! But if you remember he was trying to recover Vada’s lost mood ring! (I included a link below from My Girl 2 where Vada recalls the mood ring. )

Introducing UH MOOD RING Link Up

I’m making a point of the whole mood ring, because I’m starting a link up and blog series called Mood Ring! This series is all about expressing what you feel through the clothes that you wear based on your mood! It’s how I dress in general. Lots of people dress for practicality or the weather. I tend to dress how I feel (which makes packing for travel a real task.). Some days I want to wear a jersey knit because it feels comforting, Sequins because I feel alive, or mixed prints for a “mix” of feelings/emotions!

I'm inviting you to play along with me and dress up in your emotions and be like a mood ring ever expressing how you feel or what you think through your look and style!

The Link up will start next Thursday April 30th! You’ll be able to link up your look post and hashtag your images #UHMOODRING on Instagram, Twitter, and even Facebook! I’ll pic my favorite ones and feature them here and on my social media!

"When You Can wear what you feel what do you want to say? "

You don’t have to be a fashion slayer to participate you just have to be willing to express what your feeling through your clothing. It’s a moment to be honest with yourself, but in a fun creative way, and be celebrated in the process for your beautifully Unbelievably Human expressions! I’m Excited and wanted to do this first post as an introduction and share where I am!

I  took  a little inspiration for the Jennifer Hudson All Dressed UP in Love song above. Give it a listen! This Song has been my anthem for a while! I love it!

All Dressed Up in Love

I’m a HUGE advocate for love. I believe with all my heart and soul that perfect love truly drives out fear. But in Spring, I feel more aware of romantic love. I’m a single lady, determined to become a woman in my own right and to live out my greatest dreams and to my greatest potential.

One of those dreams is to know "The Alchemist" kinda love.

“At that moment it seemed to him that time stood still and the soul of the world surged within him. When he looked into her dark eyes and saw that her lips were poised between a laugh and silence, he learned the most important part of the language that all the world spoke. The language that everyone on earth was capable of understanding in their heart. It was love. Something older than humanity, more ancient than the desert. Something that exerted the same force whenever two pairs of eyes met, as had theirs here at the well. She smiled, and that was certainly an omen. The omen he had been awaiting without even knowing he was for all his life. The omen he sought to find in his sheep and in his books. In the crystals and in the silence of the desert... It was the pure language of the world. It required no explanation, just as the universe needs none as it travels through endless time.

What the boy felt at that moment was that he was in the presence of the only woman in his life. And that, with no need for words she recognized the same thing. He was more certain of it, than of anything in the world. He had been told by his parents and grandparents that he must fall in love and really know a person before becoming committed. But maybe people who felt that way never learned the universal language. Because when you know that language, its easy to understand that someone in the world awaits you. Whether its in the middle of the desert or in some great city. And when two such people encounter each other, and their eyes meet, the past and the future become unimportant. There is only that moment, and the incredible certainty that everything under the sun has been written by one hand only. It is the hand that evokes love and makes a twin soul for every person in the world. Without such love, one's dreams would have no meaning. Maktub..”
― Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

So As I journey towards my future and daring greatly, it is with this ideal that I’m able to really enjoy being single, but get all dressed up in love, to show the universe the openness of my heart!

I hope you’ll join in the fun next week and link your sites up below or post a picture on Instagram with the #UHMOODRING! I can see it now! It’s going to be a beautiful hashtag!

Later Lovers!

As always you are Unbelievably Human so be Unbelievably YOU!
