Musing, Music, Monday....New Normal

Musing, Music, Monday....New Normal

I made it through last week! Last week was UNBELIEVABLY challenging! At so many points I thought that I would explode in a ball of hot anger or melt into a soggy wet mess of rain poodle tears.

Thank God for ART+MUSIC+LOVE!

This week will be my first integration back into my new normal. Life starts again in many ways. It seems like whenever something traumatic happens in life; your world stops. And when it starts again it feels like a “First day” when you start anything that feels new…except a car. I’ve always liked starting new cars……

One of the things that I did to stay the tiny bit sane was get my personal Valentines done! My list this year was pretty long! On top of that I’m doing New Year’s cards. I bought them and darn it I want to send them! Plus the year is still NEW! right? right!

I was pretty proud of myself because I truly just worked out what I felt through what I wanted to get done and what I wanted to create! Sometimes even using my craft letters to spell out certain choice words! (YUP! It beessss like that!)

I was also pretty proud of how I took care of myself and held strong to my boundaries. Though they didn’t make sense to a lot of people. They made sense to me. I feel good about that. I think the best thing that we can do when people go through stuff is just offer sensitivity, presence, don’t take anything personal, and respond to what they are going through from a heart place and not a place of fear.

Listening to so much music over the past week has made it so hard to leave you with a song. Before I go through I want you to know that soon you’ll be seeing tons of Valentines tutorials and shares from me and I hope you enjoy um! This is truly one of my favorite holidays. It really points out the two ways you can go through life!

1. In pity for a life (romantic valentine) you wish you had
OR
2. In gratitude for the love that is you and that is life.

No matter who you are or where you are someone loves you. That's the celebration! So leave the pity party early this year and celebrate LOVE! It truly is one of the greatest gifts we'll ever receive!  So to encourage and from reflective/nostalgic place, her is this weeks song! I got music history folks my mom and dad both ARE and WERE huge music people so if you've never heard this enjoy. If it's been a long time since you heard this...you welcome! :) Happy Monday Lovers!

Liv
